Who has access to my data?
Your data is only accessible to you and users that you provide access to.

Can I upgrade my package?
Yes. You can upgrade your account from month to month depending on your specific needs. Downgrades are planned for the future.

How do I receive CVs into my fishtank?
Candidates can send their CVs directly into your fishtank, by emailing them to the fishtank email address that you choose at registration. Shortly, you will be able to setup a rule in your existing email inbox to automatically forward CVs to your fishtank email address.

What enhancements are planned?
We actively encourage our users to provide as much feedback as possible, and welcome your suggestions. Email iwantit@fishtankcv.com with your brainwaves - who knows, your idea may even make the jump from wish to fish.

What level of uptime do you expect to provide?
We strive to achieve 100% uptime, but a minimum of 98% is what we commit to.

What types of files can I store in fishtank?
fishtank can store any type of data file, but can only search on Microsoft Word documents, Microsoft Excel files, Microsoft PowerPoint files, Corel WordPerfect documents, Adobe Acrobat files, HTML files, Plain Text files, and MS Rich Text documents.

How secure are my files (i.e. if the fishtank server hard drive fails)?

How secure is fishtank against hackers?
fishtank employs the latest technologies to protect against any unsolicited or malicious attacks. In addition to this, the site is also employs a 128 bit Secure Socket Layer certificate that provides secure communications between the client and fishtank.

How many resumes/CVs can I store in fishtank?
This depends on which package you choose.

How long will it take to setup my account?
Once you have provided us with the details we require, and we have verified your account with PayPal, the actual creation of the account happens within seconds. Our system is automated from end-to-end and the only human interaction that is required rests with you.

How will I be billed for my fishtank subscription?
We use PayPal for all our billing. This means that we don't store any of your sensitive data on our servers, which in the end means a safer user-experience for you. PayPal will debit your PayPal account monthly for the duration of your subscription.

How secure is fishtank's subscription billing process?

My resumes/CVs contain sensitive and confidential information. How secure are these files from prying eyes?
fishtank employs a 128 bit Secure Socket Layer certificate that provides secure communications between the client and fishtank. This means that all communication between the fishtank servers and you the client is encrypted and therefore secure from unwanted eavesdroppers.

Do I need a specific type of computer/operating system to use fishtank?
No, almost any computer that will run any of the latest Web Browsers will do.

I have heard that because fishtank is an Internet-based system, that I can access my fishtank subscription from any computer, anywhere in the world, and at any time. Is this true?
Yes, so long as you have a broadband connection to the Internet you will be able to access your fishtank subscription.

How do I load my resumes/cv’s into my fishtank subscription?
There is more than one method in getting your files into fishtank. You can upload them individually, do a batch upload where you can choose up to 200 files per batch, or you can get your candidates to e-mail them into your fishtank directly.

How many users (people from within my organization) can access my fishtank subscription simultaneously/concurrently?
You can give access to your account to unlimited guest users.

Do I need to load any special software onto my computer in order to use fishtank?
No. This is the beauty of fishtank. All the necessary bits and pieces are already contained in the Internet Browser on your PC and on our servers. No fiddling with installation files, no upgrades, no service packs, nothing!

I have heard that because fishtank is an Internet-based system, that I will never have to load any fishtank-related service packs or patches onto my pc. Is this true?
Yes, any upgrades that we do make (and we are constantly working on improving fishtank) will be loaded by our engineers onto our servers. Once we have loaded our upgrades, they will be available to you immediately after your next login.

How often will I have to renew my subscription, and will I have to do this manually each time?
You will be billed monthly for your subscription, and this entire process is managed automatically by PayPal. For more information on PayPal, please see their site.

My hard drive in my pc has just crashed and I have had to reinstall all my software. If I am a fishtank subscriber and all my resumes/CVs are in my fishtank subscription, will I lose any of them?
No, as your documents are stored remotely, as soon as you can access the Internet again (from any pc), you will be able to access your files.

What type of connection to the Internet is recommended in order to use fishtank?
Any broadband connection will suffice.

I own more than one recruitment agency and want to keep each agency's data separate from the others. Can fishtank manage this for me?
Yes, you can have as many fishtank subscriptions as you like. You will be billed for each subscription you have and they will be treated as totally separate entities. (If on the other hand you wanted your agencies to share access to a central pool of data, then you could take out just a single account and give Guest access to the various users).
